Purchase and subscription terms
Effective October 14, 2026
Agreement
These terms govern access to Demo Maker for macOS, its one-time licenses and existing subscriptions. By purchasing access or using a protected feature, you agree to these terms and the privacy policy. If you act for an organization, you represent that you can bind it.
Demo Maker is offered worldwide where Stripe can process payment and applicable law permits the transaction. Available payment methods vary by country. We may reject or cancel a purchase when required for sanctions, export controls, fraud prevention, provider availability, tax compliance, or other legal obligations. Restore, cancellation, billing history, and customer support remain available to eligible existing customers while traveling.
Demo Maker Pro
A new one-time purchase provides permanent access to Demo Maker, including its editor, recording, clean exports, templates, all future Demo Maker updates, and use on up to two active Macs by the purchasing person or organization. There is no recurring charge. Existing subscribers keep their original plan and billing terms. Local project files remain on the Mac if access is revoked.
Price, renewal, and tax
New purchases are one-time: the first 100 completed purchases cost $29 USD each, the next 100 cost $49, the next 100 cost $79, and later purchases cost $99, plus applicable tax. Every tier includes the same access and all future updates. Payment is due at checkout, with no free trial or renewal. Stripe Checkout shows the exact charge and tax before confirmation. A checkout temporarily reserves an allocation; an expired unpaid checkout releases it. Completed purchases count toward the launch allocations even if later refunded, so the price does not move backward.
Stripe securely processes payments and operates the billing portal. Legacy $29/month and $240/year subscriptions retain their existing renewal, cancellation, discount and trial terms; they are not automatically converted or canceled by this launch. Existing subscribers can cancel renewal at any time through your web account or Manage billing in Demo Maker. Cancellation stops future renewal and access continues through the paid period unless a refund, chargeback, fraud action, or law requires earlier termination.
Devices and verification
You may deactivate a Mac in your web account, or deactivate the current Mac in Settings → Account. To restore on another Mac, use the checkout email and one-use restore link. If both seats are occupied, you must choose an old Mac to deactivate before the replacement activates.
Protected features require periodic online verification and a supported, unmodified, properly signed build. A successful check may permit offline access for up to 72 hours within the same boot session. A reboot requires a fresh online check. We will never instruct you to bypass Developer ID signing, notarization, or Gatekeeper.
Software changes
Features may change and defects may occur. Keep backups of important projects and source media. We may retire insecure builds after a reasonable update window. Project files remain local, but opening and recovery require active protected access.
Refunds
The refund policy is incorporated into these terms. Approved full refunds and chargebacks may revoke protected access immediately. Partial refunds do not automatically revoke access.
Acceptable use
Do not share a license outside the purchasing person or organization, defeat device or license controls, distribute modified builds, interfere with the service, automate abusive restore or checkout requests, or use Demo Maker unlawfully. You are responsible for having permission to record and publish people, screens, audio, confidential information, and third-party intellectual property.
Customer content and ownership
You retain rights in your recordings, projects, and exports. Demo Maker and its licensors retain the software, design, documentation, trademarks, and services. We grant a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use Demo Maker under these terms.
Third-party services
Billing, hosting, email, Apple signing, and optional model downloads use third-party services. Demo Maker licensing runs on Cloudflare. Third-party terms and availability also apply to their components. We are not responsible for third-party services outside our reasonable control.
Disclaimers and liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, Demo Maker is provided “as is” and “as available,” without implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Demo Maker is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or lost-profit damages. Our aggregate liability arising from Demo Maker will not exceed the amount you paid for Demo Maker in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
These limits do not exclude liability or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded, including rights under mandatory local law.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend protected access for nonpayment, chargeback, fraud, security risk, unlawful use, or material breach. We will use reasonable efforts to explain and provide a cure opportunity when appropriate. You may stop using Demo Maker at any time. Existing subscribers may also cancel future renewal. One-time purchases do not renew.
Disputes and governing law
Contact support@demomaker.app first so we can try to resolve a dispute informally. These terms are governed by Florida law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory law in your residence provides otherwise. Courts with lawful jurisdiction may hear disputes; these terms do not require arbitration or waive a right to a jury trial.
Changes
We may update these terms for product, legal, security, or operational changes. Material changes apply after legally required notice. The version presented at checkout governs that purchase to the extent required by law.
