Release notes.
Mac app1.0.25 · Build 43Apple siliconOctober 23, 2026
A clearer editor.
Music and sound effects now live in one place: adding audio from the timeline or the Insert menu opens the Sounds tab. The View menu lists every sidebar tab, with Command-1 to Command-9.
Text and captions use consistent names, new recordings are named with their date and time, and explanations in the sidebar moved into tooltips. The export dialog shows one size estimate and no longer scrolls.
A new install leads with buying Demo Maker, with sign-in for existing buyers just below. Activating a Mac now confirms it, and a purchase link that no longer works points you to email sign-in.
Mac app1.0.24 · Build 42Apple siliconOctober 22, 2026
Editor fixes.
The playhead now follows the rounded corner of the last clip down to the timeline floor instead of stopping above it.
Escape closes Settings. After Demo Maker quits unexpectedly, the restored project opens at full editor size, and opening an unchanged project no longer asks you to save changes.
Media added through the agent CLI keeps its original file name.
This update retains the on-demand speech engines and smaller download from 1.0.23.
Mac app1.0.23 · Build 37Apple siliconOctober 17, 2026
Smaller downloads. Speech when you need it.
Local voice and caption engines now download automatically on first use, then stay available across app updates. Light and Heavy voices, caption generation, and the agent CLI use the same verified installation process.
Downloads show progress and support cancellation and retry. Each engine is signed, notarized, and verified before it runs. Large model weights remain separate downloads.
This update retains the timeline preview, playhead, layout, and audio fade improvements from 1.0.22.
Mac app1.0.22 · Build 36Apple siliconOctober 17, 2026
Audio fades you can grab.
Audio fade grabbers now stay visible with existing fade curves. Hovering or selecting a clip also reveals the controls, and dragging a grabber keeps the clip selected while you adjust the fade.
This update includes the composed video timeline previews, moving playhead, aligned ruler labels with more space above the ticks, inline update button, and timeline layout and corner fixes from 1.0.21.
Mac app1.0.21 · Build 35Apple siliconOctober 17, 2026
A header and timeline that fit your window.
The Update ready button now sits beside undo and redo without pushing the editor down. Timeline tracks stay clear of the rounded window corner, and taller stacks scroll so every audio lane remains reachable.
Video timeline thumbnails now show the composed scene, including device framing, backgrounds, text and transitions, with small scene renders available before the full playback preview finishes. This also fixes black thumbnails caused by temporary image files being removed before decoding.
The playhead follows the playback clock, and ruler labels are centered over their ticks with more space above them. The timeline's inner corner follows the window curve with an even inset.
This release also preserves generated caption timing when narration crosses scene cuts and includes the latest agent guidance for fast promos.
Mac app1.0.20 · Build 34Apple siliconOctober 14, 2026
More precise agent guides.
The bundled Claude and Codex guides now include the approved horizontal icon and SF Pro Semibold ending, with exact placement, spacing, fade timing, and export checks.
Expanded discovery guidance explains how agents find the available scenes, devices, voices, music, text styles, wallpapers, camera moves, and editable options. After updating, run Help → Copy Agent Setup Prompt to refresh your installed guides.
Mac app1.0.19 · Build 33Apple siliconOctober 14, 2026
Stronger app and download verification.
Demo Maker verifies its signed app resources before launching bundled helpers and strengthens the secure connection used for license checks. Voice generation refreshes license access before each job.
Account downloads now include a signed download receipt alongside the unchanged, notarized installer. Existing projects, agent workflows, and signed offline access remain supported.
Mac app1.0.18 · Build 32Apple siliconOctober 14, 2026
Complete agent video workflows.
The CLI can inspect native scene text and cameras, create continuous camera sweeps, edit template typography, append an editable icon and headline end card, and verify exported video and audio inside Demo Maker. Updated Claude and Codex instructions teach the complete workflow. Run the Agent Setup Prompt again after updating to refresh installed skills.
Voiceover offers Light and optional Heavy local models, with prompted Drama 3 narration and reference voices. Heavy downloads once, requires at least 48 GB of memory, and is subject to Fish Audio license eligibility. Built with Fish Audio.
This update also fixes a Duo export crash, preserves full-shot camera timing and caption styling, filters scenes by the selected device, and retains Retina headless editor walkthroughs.
Mac app1.0.17 · Build 31Apple siliconOctober 14, 2026
Sharper headless editor walkthroughs.
Agent editor previews and walkthroughs now use the production editor layout at Retina resolution, with the correct window bounds, header, sidebar, and timeline placement. Native canvas frames render at higher quality.
This changes only agent-generated presentations. Normal editing, recording, and saved preferences retain their existing behavior.
Mac app1.0.16 · Build 30Apple siliconOctober 13, 2026
Headless agent editing.
Agents can render editor previews and walkthroughs, apply edits, and export videos in isolated background jobs. Agent jobs use private presentation settings and return an error when an action would require a window or permission prompt.
The normal editor, recording controls, and saved preferences keep their existing behavior.
Mac app1.0.15 · Build 29Apple siliconOctober 13, 2026
Make demos from your agent.
A bundled command-line interface lets coding agents create editable demos from video clips and isolated iOS Simulator captures. Agents can discover scenes and camera moves, compose shots and transitions, add captions, narration and music, inspect previews, and export through Demo Maker. Help → Copy Agent Setup Prompt installs the launcher and linked instructions for Claude and Codex.
Agent jobs report progress and recoverable errors, support cancellation, and publish output only after a successful export. Simulator capture does not record your desktop or open the Simulator window.
Mac app1.0.14 · Build 28Apple siliconOctober 13, 2026
Smoother activation after updating.
Demo Maker now waits for automatic license renewal before showing an access result, preventing a brief error during startup after an update.
Mac app1.0.13 · Build 27Apple siliconOctober 12, 2026
Keep your project open after updating.
Demo Maker preserves saved project access across updates and restarts.
- Refresh project access after autosaves and renew stale file permissions when reopening your work.
- Keep existing access if a permission refresh fails, without switching to a different project.
Mac app1.0.12 · Build 26Apple siliconOctober 12, 2026
Email-verified sign-in. More reliable captions.
Account access and activation of a new Mac now require email verification. Already approved Macs stay signed in.
- Replaces license-key sign-in with a single-use email link for account access and new Mac activation.
- Preserves existing approved Macs and their normal license refresh.
- Keeps caption generation attached to the selected audio when the speech model is installed for the first time.
- Prevents delayed activation responses from restoring access after cancellation or sign-out.
- Retains the recording preview, Source export size, compression, timeline audio, and editor improvements from the previous release.
Mac app1.0.11 · Build 24Apple siliconOctober 11, 2026
License-key sign-in. More reliable previews and exports.
This update adds license-key activation, fixes timeline previews and exports, and strengthens app verification.
- Adds license-key activation alongside the existing email sign-in.
- Shows your key after checkout and in your account, and emails it automatically after your purchase.
- Simplifies purchase confirmation with a copyable key, a clear download action, and installation help.
- Hardens the production executable and verifies its required security protections.
- Prevents delayed verification responses from restoring access after a Mac is deactivated.
- Keeps clip durations intact when seeking between videos of different lengths, and preserves captions added at a clip’s end.
- Fixes a crash when exporting transparent ProRes 4444 video with audio.
- Includes every timeline clip in Frames and Web exports, with clip timing, transitions, and transparency preserved.
- Explains when a 3D export needs more free disk space instead of reporting a generic frame-rendering failure.
- Keeps GIF playback duration accurate when frame delays need rounding.
- Shows the full size of Frames and Web export folders in recent exports.
- Exposes resolution choices for transparent videos and reports the dimensions used by the export, including cropped Source resolution.
- Keeps Source export dimensions consistent when selecting clips of different sizes.
- Shows the correct recording when paused after switching clips or leaving rendered playback.
- Removes the technical support reference from the Account screen.
- Prevents a delayed save error from an old project appearing on the current project.
- Preserves the compression choices, timeline audio controls, and editor improvements introduced in 1.0.10.
Mac app1.0.10 · Build 16Apple siliconOctober 10, 2026
Smaller exports. Direct audio controls. More reliable editing.

- Fixes a menu refresh loop that could leave the app unresponsive and Check for Updates unavailable.
- Adds Smaller file, Balanced, and Maximum quality compression without changing export resolution or frame rate.
- Adds a draggable volume line to audio clips, with a center snap at 0 dB and matching decibel controls in the inspector.
- Restores music timeline editing, visible trim and fade controls, and reliable music playback while adjusting volume.
- Simplifies sidebar controls, shows scenes inline by device, and improves background and scene browsing.
- Restores the orange wallpaper and spring zoom defaults, improves recording framing and corners, and keeps loading progress visible between rendered ranges.
Mac app1.0.9 · Build 15Apple siliconOctober 7, 2026
Editable 3D scenes. Faster previews.
This update adds room sets, folding Duo scenes and a refreshed template gallery, with smoother editing and playback.
- Choose Sunlit Concrete, Oak Study or Midnight Grid in Set → Room, with detailed surface maps, room reflections and improved contact shadows.
- Pick a device or template and get the composition shown in its preview. Edit the template’s actual camera views, their timing and motion.
- Device resizing, set changes, sidebar switching and camera-rig toggling reuse prepared scenes and cached previews to reduce stalls.
- Playback and seeking keep the current scene in sync when changing rooms or devices. Completed rendering returns the progress bar to gray; blue fills only while measured progress is available.
- Camera scrolling and dragging are available only while editing a paused 3D camera view. Ordinary previews stay fixed.
- A more compact Set inspector, larger labeled room previews, and camera controls beside the editable view cards.
- Studio Display and its gallery templates are retired; Pro Display XDR remains available. Existing template IDs remain readable in saved projects.
Mac app1.0.8 · Build 14Apple siliconSeptember 25, 2026
Smoother cursors. A cleaner creative library.
This update improves cursor playback, refines the text and cursor galleries, and makes overlapping clicks easier to edit.
- Cursor previews follow the display’s refresh cadence, including when footage plays at slower speeds. Motion blur and click animation reuse artwork to reduce stuttering.
- The cursor picker keeps the correct artwork visible when you hover, click or move between styles.
- The Hand cursor keeps its natural proportions, and Tahoe has a refined shape, size and click position.
- Choose Emoji for a custom cursor. Paste an emoji or use the native emoji picker, including skin tones, flags and families.
- The text gallery now contains 11 selected styles. Chromatic Glow now shows its lettering and colored glow without a black background box. Existing projects retain their saved styles.
- Overlapping clicks occupy separate timeline rows so each remains visible and editable.
- Updated website previews show the revised cursors, text and editor while retaining the three-part hero.
Mac app1.0.7 · Build 13Apple siliconSeptember 24, 2026
Zooms stay editable at every timeline scale.
Zoom out to see your whole edit without losing control of individual zooms.
- Zoom blocks now remain separate when the timeline is zoomed out. Adjacent zooms no longer collapse into a group that cannot be dragged.
- Drag a small zoom block to move it. Zoom in to adjust its start or end, with each block keeping its own selection area.
- Fixed the 3D MacBook’s corners being cut off inside the video during camera moves.
- All website demo videos have been rendered again with the restored device frames and current creative library.
Mac app1.0.6 · Build 12Apple siliconSeptember 24, 2026
Your creative library is back.
This update restores earlier device frames, backgrounds and creative assets, keeps the new backgrounds, and makes the editor easier to navigate.
- Restored the earlier phone frames and 3D models, including the iPhone 17 Pro Max and iPhone Air, with their original screen fit, bezels and rear details.
- Classic wallpapers and gradients are back alongside the newer backgrounds. Use All, Classic or New to browse the wallpaper collection.
- Restored the earlier templates, motion presets, music, sound effects, cursor artwork, overlays and letter artwork.
- Advanced background adjustments now include a clear way back to the background options.
- The Cursor tab stays hidden when there is no cursor recording. The Zoom tab opens when you select a zoom in the timeline and hides when you close or clear the selection. Add zooms from the timeline.
- A persistent Update ready button appears beneath the editor toolbar when an update is prepared. It opens the install options and stays visible if you postpone the update.
Mac app1.0.5 · Build 11Apple siliconSeptember 23, 2026
Smoother automatic zooms.
This update eases automatic zooms in ahead of each click, keeps your zoom edits when you reopen a project, and stops asking for Accessibility.
- Automatic zooms now ease in over 0.8 seconds and are still just before each click, then ease out when they end. Before, they snapped in about a quarter of a second.
- In the zoom editor, Ease in and Ease out now set exactly how a zoom moves in and out. Zooms in projects from earlier versions keep moving as before until you change their easing or curve.
- Reopening a project, Undo and switching clips no longer bring back automatic zooms you deleted, or undo your changes to a zoom that covers more than one click.
- Demo Maker no longer lists or asks for Accessibility. No feature used it.
- If a recording stops while a project is still opening, Demo Maker now opens the recording as soon as the project has loaded. Until then, a notice offers Reveal in Finder.
- For projects saved outside Demo Maker’s own folder, copies of media that nothing has used for 30 days now move to the Trash.
- The 3D iPhone 15 Pro Max and Galaxy S25 Ultra now show their rear cameras on the correct side.
- In exports, a flat device frame that turns around now shows its back with the cameras on the correct side, and an oval Blur area stays oval.
- The timeline ruler uses minutes and seconds to match the playback clock, with fractional seconds when you zoom in. Its labels stay clear of tick marks and each other.
- Paused recorded footage no longer shows a second, oversized cursor over the recording.
Mac app1.0.4 · Build 10Apple siliconSeptember 23, 2026
Saving and Undo keep your media.
This update fixes media that saving and Undo could lose, exports that unreadable audio could stop, and the back of the 3D iPhone.
- Saved projects now keep their own copy of each background, companion device’s screen video and montage song. Before, a project lost them when the original file was moved or deleted, or when macOS cleaned up a temporary copy.
- If a screen recording finishes while a project is still opening, Demo Maker now waits for that project to open before saving it. Before, the project could be saved half open and lose its audio or markers.
- Undoing Replace video… or Mirror main video on a companion device now brings back that device’s own screen video. Before, it went back to mirroring the main recording, in the preview and the export.
- Undoing File → Open… or Replace media… now brings back the recording it replaced.
- If an audio clip or an older project’s soundtrack can’t be read, the export now leaves it out and names it in the export notes. Before, the export stopped with “Export didn’t finish. Cannot Open.”
- In the zoom editor, an Ease in or Ease out slider that has no effect on that zoom is now dimmed and shows Auto or Off. Before, it could be dragged without changing anything. Zooms move exactly as before.
- The rear camera and flash on the iPhone 17 Pro Max 3D models now sit on the correct side of the phone.
- The template and camera motion previews now show the 3D iPhone 17 Pro Max and Galaxy S25 Ultra as they render, with the black glass border around the screen.
Mac app1.0.3 · Build 9Apple siliconSeptember 22, 2026
The 3D iPhone gets its glass border. Clicks play back smoothly.
This update fixes the screen border on the 3D iPhone and how captured clicks play back.
- The 3D iPhone 17 Pro Max now shows the black glass border around its screen. Before, the recording ran to the metal edge.
- With Show click effects on, the pointer in a new recording follows your movement through each click. Before, it could stop on a click for about a second, then jump.
- Click effects now finish fading out. Before, a click followed by another click could cut its effect short.
Mac app1.0.2 · Build 8Apple siliconSeptember 22, 2026
Display and window recording open reliably.
This update repairs Apple’s screen picker on macOS 26.5.2 and makes Undo and Redo available from the Edit menu.
- Fixed: choosing Record Display or Record Window could crash the macOS Control Center process before Apple’s picker appeared.
- Canceling Apple’s picker now returns safely to New Recording.
- If the macOS picker host stops responding, Demo Maker explains how to retry and how to continue with Record Area.
- Edit → Undo and Edit → Redo now follow project history in the editor while continuing to work in text fields.
Mac app1.0.1 · Build 7Apple siliconSeptember 21, 2026
Recovered projects keep their media. Zooms from your first recording.
This update fixes a fault that could lose media from a recovered project, and makes automatic zooms work without extra setup.
- Fixed: after you restored unsaved work and saved it under a name, a later save could lose its camera video, voiceover or extra clips. A restored project now keeps every file it uses.
- If a camera video or audio clip is missing from disk, the save stops and names it. Your previous save and its media stay as they were.
- Fixed: WAV and AIFF audio clips that came back silent after reopening a project and made exports fail. Affected projects repair themselves when you open them.
- Create zooms automatically now works from the clicks a Mac recording captured. It no longer needs Show click effects, and a click outside the recorded window or area does not attract a zoom.
- Caption and voice model downloads are more reliable. A working model stays available while its replacement downloads and is checked.
- The File menu is always present, including while your license is being checked.
Mac app1.0 · Build 4Apple siliconSeptember 18, 2026
Safer projects. A refreshed creative library.
This update improves project recovery, local voice tools, and the finishing touches for your next demo.
- A refreshed library of original device frames, backgrounds, cursors, music, and sound effects.
- More reliable autosave and project recovery, with safer Save As and export replacement. Failed or canceled exports leave your previous file intact.
- Montage exports check for missing images and recordings that are too short before rendering, with a clear message explaining what to fix.
- Voice-following speech recognition stays on your Mac, including its fallback path. If local recognition is unavailable, Demo Maker explains how to continue.
- Fixed local voice generation failures caused by missing runtime resources. Optional voice models still need an initial download.
- Signed in-app updates, with update preferences in Settings and Check for Updates in the Demo Maker menu.
Mac app1.0 · Build 2Apple siliconAugust 3, 2026
