How do I record a connected iPhone or iPad?
- Connect the device to your Mac with a cable and make it available to the Mac.
- Choose the connected device from Demo Maker’s Record options.
- Allow Camera access when requested for the connected-device recording.
- Record the workflow and stop. Review the clip in the editor before adding effects.
What does connected-device recording capture?
This path records the device picture. It omits Mac clicks, editable cursor data, microphone, system audio and the camera overlay. Add narration and other audio in the editor if your demo needs them. Do not assume it records a phone call or an iPad microphone.
Can I use a recording I already made?
Yes. Import existing video, then edit and present it in a device frame. A plain imported file does not recreate editable cursor or click data. For a phone or tablet recording, use manual zooms to emphasize the important controls.
Can I finish everything on the phone?
Demo Maker runs on an Apple silicon Mac with macOS 26.3 or later. It is not an iPhone or iPad editing app. Keep the Mac available for recording with a cable, editing the timeline and exporting the finished demo.
